About this blog

The name 'Sunset Hours' came from a story I once read of an old-time famous preacher who would sign any correspondence with the picture of a setting sun. This was a reminder to him to "Work, for the night was surely coming," and to live his life in the constant light of eternity.

More so than ever before, we are living in some of the last days, and the clarion call still goes forth, urging us to 'give of our best to the Master.' II Timothy 2:20-21 is a constant challenge to me.

"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of sliver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

This blog seeks to give an honest, and at times candid glimpse into my life, and into a heart that is seeking to live up to this incredibly high calling. Here you will find quotes that have encouraged and challenged me, pictures from my photography ventures, tidbits from life, and occasional articles as the Lord gives direction. May you be blessed and challenged to seek the highest that God has to offer!

We will have all of eternity to celebrate the victories won, & only a few short hours before sunset to win them."
